We are seeking an experienced Bank Teller with exceptional customer service skills. In this position, you will be responsible for confirming the change count in the drawer at the beginning and ending of your shift. You will be comfortable making small talk with our customers as you efficiently conduct their financial transactions, methodically document the process, and thank them for their visit.

Your primary job will be to be interact with customers and answer any questions, and carefully complete their transactions. These transactions will include everything from receiving loan payments or account deposits to issuing checks or moving funds.

You will follow all banking policy and procedures to the letter. You will spend long hours standing; this is an active role that requires mobility. You will effectively handle customer concerns by either flagging management or solving the problem by providing customer exceptional care.

You will participate in periodic audits and comply with all security procedures related to the supply of cash and currency. The Bank Teller will keep all information confidential as per banking regulations.

You will be impeccably groomed, always pleasant and willing to help customers and team members. You will have a positive attitude that is infectious; remember to always complete the customer transaction with a smile and “Thank you.”

An advanced degree is not required for this role; however, a high school diploma or GED is mandatory. We will conduct a thorough background check that includes a review of your credit history. A drug screen is also mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring cash on hand and maintaining the security of cash drawer in a bank setting.
  • Preparing payments using a variety of forms including checks, money orders, traveler’s checks, and more.
  • Follow all bank policy and procedures.
  • Professionally answering customer questions and offer alternative solutions to problems if needed.
  • Accepting customer payments, cash checks, move funds, or any other routine bank transaction.
  • Signing customers up for rewards or other programs.
  • Recording transactions in a proprietary computer banking system.
  • Greeting and thanking customers as they conduct bank transactions.

Required Skills

Educational

Technical

  • Strong understanding of standard banking procedures such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan repayments.
