We are seeking a Creative Director with a flair for the unique as well as a good head for business. You will lead a creative department in our advertising branch. You will oversee visual marketing ranging from print to digital.
Our Creative Director will be a jack of all trades, with experience in brochures, presentations, social media, digital design, video, and content in all its forms. Your business savvy will help our firm pitch and then implement client-sponsored work that is engaging and marketable.
This role will require you to manage diverse teams of creative professionals to create a product vision for our clients. You will engage in active listening while driving teams to success they never thought possible. The Creative Director will have hands on contact with clients in a variety of industries and will conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
You will work with content writers and software developers, department heads and designers, while reporting directly to the company President. You will coordinate with external vendors when needed, and create cost estimates for these projects. You will be able to handle the pressure of multiple deadlines simultaneously while never losing your creative verve.
In our Mac environment, you will have a professional working knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator or InDesign. You will have experience with multi-media, including Apple Final Cut Pro. You will have extensive experience with all facets of corporate communication, from social media to websites, photography to video. A B.A. and three years of experience in managing creative teams is required.
Responsibilities
- Creates visual concepts that communicate the corporate message through a wide variety of venues, including video, web, social, and print.
- Develops a marketing and implementation plan for clients.
- Collaborates ideas well with internal teams and follows design projects through to completion.
- Leads teams to combine art and technology software to communicate ideas.
- Present ideas to clients then communicate revisions to creative teams.
- Leads client presentations in coordination with external sales team.
- Coordinates with external vendors, such as printers or advertising agencies.
- Creates estimate of project costs when external vendors are incorporated.
- Successfully manage multiple tasks while on tight deadlines.
Required Skills
Educational
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
- Post-secondary degree required, such as a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Design or a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Digital Design or other specialty.
Technical
- Ability to use Mac or PC.
- Understanding of all the components that make up a creative project, from desktop publishing to content writing.
- Has a professional working knowledge of design software such as the Adobe Creative Suite or Microsoft Publisher, QuarkXpress, Corel, Apple Final Cut Pro, CAAD or other software.
- Fluent typist and skilled at Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skilled in all forms of communicating with internal and external stakeholders across a variety of venues from social media to print advertising.
- Excellent proofreader with solid attention to detail.
- Photography and video experience are helpful.
